Tangram is everyone's design system. Help grow and improve Tangram by contributing.

What belongs in Tangram?

Got an idea for a new component, or an improvement to an existing component? Consider the following criteria when contributing to the Tangram design system.

Has this been built and used already in Trade Me products?

If a solution has been implemented at least twice across Trade Me products, and further use is planned, it is likely a good candidate for Tangram.

Is the solution generic enough to be used across multiple products?

Tangram provides solutions to common problems. If a solution is specific to one business area or use case, it will need further refinement before it is suitable to add to the system.

If the solution hasn’t been built yet in a Trade Me product, you may be able to customise Tangram to build it.

Is the solution well researched?

Tangram provides maintainable quality solutions that have been tested for usability and accessibility.
